New Bullet Traps Installed
Monday, 06 September 2010
Image A recent addition to the 50M electronic range has been the installation of new bullet traps. Our thanks to Richard Lightfoot & Kris of Hekate Engineering and Maintenance who worked on the project over the last few months. Lead collection on the 50m range has been a source of concern for the club since the Commonwealth Games which left the range with a sand trap that meant lead collection was to be a costly exercise. At a cost of approximately $22K, the bullet traps will enable the club to better manage lead collection, as well as reducing phantom shot incidents on the electronic targets by reducing splashback from the pre-existing baffles.
