The Melbourne International Shooting Club offers both smallbore rifle and pistol shooting at 10m (indoors), 25m and 50m.

Formed in 1955, MISC is the current training venue for many of our national rifle, pistol and modern pentathlon team members.

We provide an extensive calendar of events, with a range of  shooting activities that caters for all levels - from beginners to international class shooters. Coaching sessions are also conducted at various times at no cost to members.

2010 Anniversary Shoot

The 2010 Anniversary Shoot will be held on May 22 & 23. Click here to download the entry form. As usual the club is seeking members help with the running of the open - we need about 30 people each day to help with scoring, patching & range officer duties. Members please note that the cut-off date for lodging 2009 pistol scores with the club scorer for inclusion in the annual return to licensing services division is February 28, 2010.

New Club Manager appointed

ImageThe club is please to welcome Klaus von zum Hof as the new club manager. Klaus takes over from Robyn Van Nus who is moving to Sydney. Klaus will be available at the club for a few hours most Saturdays or Sundays to take members’ enquiries from 12.30 into the afternoon. Klaus has been self employed since 1991 after serving six years in the Royal Australian Navy and has had a lifelong interest in firearms. He’s a keen small bore rifle shooter and also operate a business as a licensed firearm dealer. His wife and two teenage daughters also have an interest in shooting.

Klaus said “I look forward to my role as Club Manager, to continue implementing modern business solutions to help manage the ever-growing membership.”
